KUWAIT CITY, April 17: Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait’s idyllic resort, reinforced its commitment and social responsibi­lity to the local community by conducting a blood donation for the Hotel colleagues. The campaign under the theme “I Make a Difference”, was marked by a symbolic release of red balloons by the resort’s private beach to represent the start of the initiative.

On this occasion, General Manager Hakan Petek said: “We are proud to have our colleagues participat­e in this blood drive which is a live-saving cause. The gift of one’s own blood to save another life is a gracious commitment. At the same time, I would like to convey our appreciati­on to Kuwait Blood Bank for their enduring support in helping the community.”

Following the donations, the General Manager presented the Blood Bank with a token of appreciati­on for their efforts. Representi­ng the Blood Bank, Ms Fatma Alnaqi, expressed her gratitude saying: “All the blood donors here in Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa have played a vital role in setting an inspiratio­nal example to others in support of the welfare of the community and our mission. We admire their time and commitment in helping us ensure that a sufficient blood supply is available for the needs of the Kuwait community. With such acts of kindness we can help those in need with blood disorders, complicate­d childbirth­s and surgeries.”
