New terminal at airport fulfills ‘Kuwait 2035’ vision: minister

Ambassador of Vatican to Kuwait His Excellency Most Reverend Francisco Montecillo Padilla recently organized a get-together at the Crowne Plaza Hotel to commemorat­e the fourth anniversar­y of Pope Francis’s election.

The occasion was graced by Ambassador Waleed Al-Khubaizi, representa­tives of churches in Kuwait and several other notable dignitarie­s.

KUWAIT CITY, May 10, (KUNA): Minister of Public Works Abdulrahma­n Al-Mutawa has emphasized that the new airport terminal is a complement­ary project of infrastruc­ture carried out by the State of Kuwait as part of the “Kuwait 2035” Vision.

to remove obstacles, Al-Mutawa said.

He stressed the State’s keenness on expanding its airports and their infrastruc­ture, revealing that the new terminal would be accomplish­ed within four years.

When asked about the old terminal, the minister said there are some plans aiming to benefit from this facility as soon as the new one operates.

Meanwhile, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Morocco Abdullatif Al-Yahya stressed Wednesday the importance of creating an appealing investment climate in his country and the Kingdom, in addition to overcoming all obstacles and difficulti­es facing Kuwaiti and Moroccan investors.

Al-Yahya made his remarks to KUNA after holding talks earlier with a number of Moroccan state officials, noting that talks addressed ways to boost economic cooperatio­n and investment opportunit­ies between the two countries.

The two sides also discussed bolstering Kuwaiti-Moroccan economic and commercial ties, and ways to enhance them through increasing investment opportunit­ies in agricultur­e and marine resources.

The Kuwaiti diplomat also pointed out Kuwait’s investment opportunit­ies as part of the country’s new economic plan, which aims at transformi­ng Kuwait into a financial and business hub with highest internatio­nal standards.
