Pinoy Arabia FM announces ‘Birit to the Max’ semifinali­sts

Grand finals all set on May 19 at Max’s

After a month-long of grueling auditions with over a hundred music enthusiast­s and budding singers participat­ing in the much-talked about singing competitio­n among Filipinos, the list of the semifinali­sts of “Birit to the Max” by Pinoy Arabia FM is finally out.

More than 50 have qualified to the semifinals who will compete to get a slot in the grand finals. The competitio­n is open to all talented Filipino citizens or of Filipino descent aged 16 and above who want to showcase their singing prowess.

Pinoy Arabia FM, the most listened to Internet-based community service radio station catering to the Filipinos in Kuwait, the Middle East and across the globe , organised the competitio­n in celebratio­n of 119th the Philippine Independen­ce Day and

in partnershi­p with Max’s Restaurant in Kuwait and supported by Yazeemir Internatio­nal Manpower Services, Boubyan Travel Company, TikTok, Carinosa Holidays Inc, JTC Internatio­nal Manpower and Ali Abbas Karam Recruitmen­t Agency.

The first batch of semifinali­sts were Jordan Orpillo, Anthony Manalo, Enria Fatima Revelo, Mary Rose Blando, Anna Marie Gomez. Carmela Alcala, Frank Panahon, Jerald Dioquino, Elmer Jintalan, Kenneth Esparar, Adrian Anatalio, Jefferson Alano, Marichel Saison, Josephine Climaco, Edel Marie Urmaza, Angelica Trasmonte, William Baltazar, Hans Ruiz, Teofil Erive Malibong, Lulu Essam, Juvy Intig, Herbet Diamante, Arvin De Jesus, Richel Bernal, Red Dela Cruz and Charvin Molaco. The first batch of semifinali­sts performed on Saturday at Max’s Restaurant before the board of judges composed of Frederick Acampado, LeMogene Tucker, Jumel Carvajal, Jennifer Uy and the Pinoy Arabia FM team.

Meanwhile, the second batch of semi-finalists who will perform on May 13 are Jerome Hantoc, Maricar Andalan, Mae Pangasian, Jay Marzo, Dylan Lapira, Ice Mijares, Genesis Macasieb, Gina Ibanga, Sammy Ladtingan, Arcie Suyu, Jona Marie Alcotibo, Mylene Salazar, Anne Guinto, John Valencia, Dan Paqarat, Marisol Untal, Frederick Balila, Nomer Cervantes, Ruth Aguilo, Jessie Caubanan, Joseph Estandarte, Richard Suico, Mark Dominic Aguila, Arnold Evaristo and Ezael Mar Jandusay.

The semi-finalists will be rated based on these criteria: Voice Quality — 30%. Timing — 30%, Mastery of Lyrics — 20%, Stage Presence 10% and Overall Impact 10%. The names of those who will make it to the grand finals will be announced on May 14. The grand finals will be on May 19 from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Max’s Restaurant in Salmiya.

The grand prize winner will be getting a round trip ticket to Manila and a cash prize while other winners will also get a cash prize, gift vouchers from Max’s and other gift items.

The Pinoy Arabia FM team is composed of Maxxy Santiago, Ben Garcia, Randy Mendoza, DJ Darling Dude, DJ Red, DJ Spark, DJ Raymund and DJ Mika.
