IBL Team 2 take over leaderboard supremacy

KUWAIT CITY, May 25: Through their third week winning stint over the Cozmo Salmiya lane masters, the spicy pin busters IBL Team 2 took over the elimination round leader board supremacy of the on-going 2017 Season 11 FTBK Tenpin Bowling Team Tournament elimination round being held every Friday at the Cozmo Bowling Center in Salmiya.

The third round also saw the high flying Dyn Aviation keglers barging into the elusive Top 6 after grounding defending champion K2E2 Thunders. Booking equally impressive victories over the weekend were the heavily reinforced Class from the top of the standings after eking out a convincing 3095-2848 over the erstwhile pace setter.

After a modest 735-687 win in game one, Siete Pares 1 dished a more decisive 821-717 victory in the next game that gave them a 1556-1404 edge after two games. Finally back to their senses, the quartet of Glenn Corbit, Bill Stiles, Jason Baker and Ted Ashley gave World Class 750-722 victory in game three. Still comfortably ahead, Siete Pares 1 put their opponents away with a 792-694 win in the last game of the match.

Top bowlers for Siete Pares in this winning stint were Egay Cabildo, Rami Al Mudaf, Jojit Dador, Rico Galang, Faie Reyel and Rita Vidana.

Going to the rest of the completed week 3 matches, the DMDA Bowleros led by Alfred Avila, Al Belarmino, Chit Mariano, Sonny Mariano and Jun Guerra snapped their 2-game losing streak with a 3072-2944 victory over Siete Pares 2 while the second placed Strikers X who banked on the combined pin busting of Bob Navarro, Norman Conde, Jheng Liwayway, Vicky Navarro, Fredy Marzo and Benny Chan defeated IBL Team 1 in a close match 3030-3003. NLB Corporation who bowled all alone submitted a total score of 3151 pin falls.
