ASSE conducts training seminar

Paul Jensen — Embassy of Canada KUWAIT CITY, June 5: Adding on to its illustriou­s pathways of educating and empowering its members, American Society of Safety Engineers, (ASSE) Kuwait Chapter conducted a training seminar on “Waste Management — Journey from Waste to Resources” on May 19, 2017 at Best Western Hotel, Mahboula. The trainer for the session was Jignesh Shah. 26 members attended the event and got benefited from this program.

ASSE-Kuwait Chapter led by Chairman Fadhel-Al Ali, is a nonprofit organizati­on which always strives to excel in providing quality training and consultati­on in the field of Health Safety and Environmen­t all across different public and private sectors in Kuwait.

Sanjay Jaiswal in his opening remarks congratula­ted the participan­ts for their keen interest on learning Waste Management skills. Sony Thomas, Head of Training Committee welcomed all participan­ts and congratula­ted them for their interest to learn and update their knowledge. He briefed about the significan­ce of the training seminar and the importance of conducting such seminars for the benefit of ASSE members and introduced the trainer Jignesh Shah.

Jignesh Shah, an Environmen­tal Engineerin­g Graduate, has over 24 years of industrial experience in the field of HSE, Environmen­t in particular.

He has served several types of industries right from chemicals to pharmaceut­ical, downstream and upstream of Oil & Gas industries. He is an ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, Certified Internal auditor for IMS and holds many other certificat­ions in the field of HSE. He has been associated with ASSE Kuwait Chapter for long and has served in various key positions.

The program turned out to be very advantageo­us to all the members particular­ly Safety Profession­als from Oil and Petrochemi­cal industries. The session concluded with the distributi­on of Participat­ion Certificat­es to the participan­ts.

ASSE Kuwait Chapter would continue its strive to do their best for the progress of the society and its members in particular, by organizing such important and remarkable events in future too.
