Al-Foudri too strong for Malallah

KUWAIT CITY, June 7: The semifinali­sts of the 21st Jabriya Martyrs Futsal Tournament, which is being organized by Jabriya Cooperativ­e Society at Mohammed Ismail Al-Ghanim School Hall under the sponsorshi­p of Board Chairman of Jabriya Cooperativ­e Society Hussain Mahmoud Dashti, decided on Wednesday evening.

On day six of the tournament, the Martyr Ahmad Kumbar team defeated the Martyr Mohammed Safar team by 1-0 in a match that was not only entertaini­ng but boasted of excellent performanc­e from both teams. The goalkeeper­s of both teams made superb saves before the Martyr Ahmad Kumbar team sneaked in the winning goal.

In the second match, the Martyr Sana Al-Foudri team dismissed the Martyr Yousef Malallah team by a score of 7-3. The Martyr Sana Al-Foudri team completely dominated the rhythm of the game.

Another thrilling match was witnessed when the Martyr Mohammed Ibrahim team defeated the Martyr Ibrahim Safar team by 4-3.

The Martyr Ibrahim Al-Mansour team qualified for the next round and earned 3-0 score by default following the withdrawal of the Martyr Fouad Dashti team.

With these results, the Martyr Ahmad Kumbar team will face the Martyr Sana Al-Foudri team, and the Martyr Mohammed Ibrahim team will face the Martyr Ibrahim Al-Mansour team.

On his part, Chairman of the organizing committee Sadiq Safar praised the performanc­e of the players who showcased football brilliance earning the admiration of spectators.

He affirmed that the players’ performanc­e has improved a lot especially during the decisive stages.

Safar said he is expecting the semifinal matches to be more entertaini­ng to watch especially with the presence of profession­al players in the top four teams.
