Ahmadi governor holds ‘Yaum Al-Wafa’ for people with special needs

Under the patronage of Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Fawaz Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Ahmadi Governorat­e Thursday organized an event titled “Yaum Al-Wafa” (Day of Fulfillmen­t) for people with special needs at the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) camp in Ahmadi area.

Honorary President of the Disabled Club Sheikha Shaikha AlAbdullah and Director General of Public Authority for the Disabled Dr Shafiqa Al-Awadhi were present at the event along with several officials from NGOs, representa­tives from civil societies and dignitarie­s from various social and humanitari­an organizati­ons.

On this occasion, the governor extolled the virtues of Ramadan and the atmosphere of love, brotherhoo­d and closeness to the people with special needs.

He paid tribute to the works carried out by the gallant people of category over the years in developing the country, stressing on the need to open more opportunit­ies in all aspects for them.

On her part, the honorary president of the Disabled Club Sheikha Shaikha Al-Abdullah thanked the governor for putting happiness in the hearts of people with special needs and others.

On her part, Dr Al-Awadhi thanked the governor for his efforts to organize this festival and invite all bodies concerned with the affairs of people with special needs, affirming that her authority focuses its efforts to offer best services for this category of people.
