Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and State Minister for Municipali­ty Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri has unveiled a plan on Kuwaitizat­ion of all jobs in the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in cooperatio­n with the Civil Service Commission (CSC), reports Al-Shahid daily.

In a statement to the daily, Al-Jabri confirmed the ministry prioritize­s files related to curbing the spread of extremist thoughts and it is coordinati­ng with several concerned authoritie­s in promoting moderation and tolerance, asserting that the ministry enjoys full support of MPs.

PAHW has vacancies:

The administra­tive reports issued by the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) revealed there were 153 vacant positions and 1,174 jobs occupied by citizens in the authority at the end of last fiscal year with total salaries reaching KD 5 million and 946 thousand, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The reports stressed the need for the authority to fill one leadership position, one deputy position and 151 general jobs for citizens in different grades and specialtie­s.

It was predicted that the current fiscal year will see 1,405 new jobs at a financial cost of up to KD 6 million.

Regarding jobs for expatriate­s in the authority, 665 contracts at a total value of KD 4 million and 400 thousand were reported, of which only 600 contracts are being processed. There has been no increase in their numbers during the current and next fiscal year.
