Plan to execute PAYA’s strategy for 2017/18 OK’d
Al-Roudhan presides over board’s meeting
KUWAIT CITY, June 20, (KUNA): Board of Directors of Public Authority for Youth Affairs, presided over by Minister of Commerce and Industry, and Acting State Minister for Youth Affairs Khalid Al-Roudhan, has approved the plan to execute the authority’s strategy for 2017/2018 fiscal year, which includes 34 various youth programs and activities in different fields.
In a press statement issued by the authority on Tuesday after a board meeting held at its headquarters, the minister said Kuwait is witnessing the best era so far in terms of youth activities and programs for Kuwaiti and Arab youths, due to the unlimited support from the top political authorities.
This is significant at this period when Kuwait will host activities of “Kuwait, the Capital of Arab Youth 2017”.
He revealed that the board discussed major difficulties and obstacles confronting the activities of the authority at the initial stage.
Al-Roudhan affirmed the determination of the board to complete foundation plans of the authority correctly, which will be done by dealing with observations and violations presented by the monitoring agencies.
He stressed that the board also deliberated on recommendations from the National Assembly and its Budgets Committee, which were relevant to youth activities, indicating that was necessary to combine efforts over youth affairs, so the board will consider those recommendations to improve youth activities in Kuwait.
