Night prayer of 25th Ramadan observed
About 10,000 worshippers gather at the Grand Mosque

KUWAIT CITY, June 20: About 10,000 worshippers gathered at the Grand Mosque to observe the night prayer of 25th Ramadan while anticipating the night could coincide with the Night of Majesty (Laylat AlQader).
The worshippers were engrossed in supplications to Allah Almighty, seeking forgiveness, mercy and reward.
The renowned Quran reciter and scholar Sheikh Meshari Al-Afasi had earlier excused himself from the first four rakats, and Sheikh Khalid AlJuhaim stepped in for him. Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nafees completed the remaining rakats.

Al-Mutairat, in his lecture, declared that prayer, pilgrimage, ethics, kindness, tolerance, forgiveness and other virtuous characteristics are part of worship, urging worshippers to imbibe virtuous characteristics.
He tried to correct the wrong impression of the religion, saying it is improper to restrain understanding of religion by a specific section of people.
Dr Al-Mutairat enjoined everybody to follow the footsteps of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) who obliged all Muslims to remove obstacles that could hinder the movement of Muslims.
Meanwhile, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah, Assistant Undersecretary for Mosques Affairs at Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr Waleed Al-Shuaib, and Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs at Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Bader AlOtaibi Monday visited Al-Zebn Ramadan Center affiliated to Farwaniya Mosques sector at Dhahiya Abdullah Al-Mubarak.
Dr Al-Shuaib declared that the activities of the ministry, in collaboration with other relevant ministries and agencies such as Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Health, Kuwait Fire Service Directorate, Medical Emergency Department, Ministry of Information and Kuwait Municipality, in the Ramadan centers have been successful.
He said the centers made it easy to organize the procedures for night prayers during the month of Ramadan.
