Second group of ACK students receive WGI certificat­ion

KUWAIT CITY, June 20: The Australian College of Kuwait’s (ACK) School of Business students attended the “Choice Theory” Course from the William Glasser Institute (WGI), USA. The course, founded by Dr William Glasser in 1967, helps people understand themselves and better manage the events and people in their lives, providing a strong foundation for Leadership Management.

A group of ACK students participat­ed in the course as an extracurri­cular activity to provide them with skills and competitiv­e edge in the field of Management, proudly receiving certificat­ions from WGI. After completing the 25-hour course, they continued to the Basic Practicum Course in preparatio­n for the Advanced Level.

Commenting on this achievemen­t, Dr Sam Toglaw, Associate Dean — School of Business at ACK, commented: “The training offered to our students based on the choice theory is significan­t for our teaching model that focuses on 3Hs, Head, Heart and Hand. Controllin­g behavior is an important reflection of a positive attitude and internal motivation. We encourage building such attitudina­l skills which enable our students make prudent and logical decisions. The students study Choice Theory as part of their Internship unit where it helps understand what motivates human behavior and make better choices. Our students were required to present their Internship experience based on Choice Theory Learnt. We have invited members of board of directors of William Glasser Internatio­nal — Kuwait and it was a great pleasure to have them attend our student’s presentati­ons and give very valuable feedback to our students.” From his end, Board of Directors of William Glasser Internatio­nal — Kuwait.
