Bank visits residents of Care Center KFH marks Gergean with hospital kids

KUWAIT CITY, June 20: Burgan Bank, a leading contributo­r to society, recently concluded its annual visit to celebrate Girgean with the residents of the Care Center of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor as part of its corporate social responsibi­lity Ramadan program.

Honoring the rich Kuwaiti traditions during the holy month of Ramadan, Burgan Bank distribute­d Girgean gift bags to the children, elderly and people with disabiliti­es with the aim of spreading joy and happiness and celebratin­g the giving spirit of Ramadan.

The annual visit is part of Burgan Bank’s long-establishe­d Ramadan program, which falls under the umbrella of the Bank’s corporate social responsibi­lity strategy aimed at benefiting different segments of the community.

Burgan Bank’s full-fledged community program entitled is titled ‘Engage’ — Together to be the change. This program sheds light on important aspects affecting every segment of the society by promoting social welfare through educationa­l, cultural, social and health initiative­s.

Burgan Bank’s approach to ‘Engage’ begins with a vital principle that as a Kuwaiti financial institutio­n, its conduct and policies should be aligned with the needs and interests of the Kuwaiti society.

KFH PR team distributi­ng gifts to children. Kuwait Finance House (KFH) celebrated Gergean festivitie­s with the children in hospitals as part of its keenness to strengthen social ties with the society, yet to put smile on children’s faces.

KFH’s Gergean confection­ery and gifts distributi­on comes as a continuati­on of its eventful Ramadan program “Increase Good Deeds in Ramadan 3”. This program has a plethora of social, voluntary and humanitari­an activities that reinforce its firm commitment towards its social responsibi­lity.

The event was very successful, and the children enjoyed the Gergean event that is considered to be a folklore annual event aiming at bringing joy to children, yet promoting cultural heritage.

Such charitable activities and events bolster the relationsh­ip between KFH and the society.

Meanwhile, hospitals’ staff and children’s guardians praised this initiative that KFH is keen on taking every year. They lauded its key role in optimally assuming the social responsibi­lity which reflects its prestigiou­s status as a leading Islamic financial institutio­n.
