Amir congratula­tes all on Eid

KUWAIT CITY, June 24, (KUNA): His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah congratula­ted all citizens and expatriate­s on Eid Al-Fitr, said the Amiri Diwan Friday.

The Amiri Diwan, on its part, congratula­ted His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on the occasion.

The Diwan also extended its congratula­tions to the whole Islamic World.

His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince both exchange greetings on the advent of Eid Al-Fitr.

In his cable to His Highness the Amir, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf congratula­ted His Highness Sheikh Sabah on the advent of the blessed occasion, wishing him and the

Kuwaiti people everlastin­g joy and prosperity.

His Highness the Crown Prince received cable from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah who expressed similar sentiment to His Highness Sheikh Nawaf.

Meanwhile, his Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf exchanged other greeting cables of with Speaker of the National Assembly Marzouq AlGhanim, Chief of the Kuwait National Guard (KNG) Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the KNG Sheikh Meshal AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber AlMubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah AlKhaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, senior state officials, sheikhs, ministers, members of the diplomatic corps, in addition to citizens and residents.

Meanwhile, the Crescent Sighting Authority announced on Saturday that Eid Al-Fitr falls tomorrow on Sunday.

Eid Al-Fitr marks end of the fasting month of Ramadan, during which the faithful fast from dusk to dawn.

The Ministry of Interior has announced special security precaution­s during the Eid to ensure that people would celebrate the occasion happily and safely.

Qatar has officially declared that Eid Al-Fitr begins tomorrow.
