Al-Ghanim congratulates HH Amir on Eid

KUWAIT CITY, June 24 (KUNA): National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim on Saturday expressed congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the people of Kuwait and the expatriates on advent of Eid Al-Fitr.

The speaker in a statement prayed that His Almighty may safeguard Kuwait under the leadership of His Highness the Amir and prolong giving, security and stability.

He also expressed hope that His Highness the Amir may succeed in his diplomatic efforts to re-establish GCC unity, affirming that the lawmakers would continue to abide by the Amir’s guidelines. Speaker Al-Ghanim expressed congratulations to His Highness the Prime Minister affirming the sincere desire to continue the cooperation between the two authorities. He also congratulated the citizens and the residents.

Meanwhile, first Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Saturday conducted telephone contacts with the US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson.

He also contacted the foreign ministers of Albania and Turkey as well as Frederica Mogherini, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

His phone talks with the foreign officials deal with latest developments on the regional and international arenas.
