Shepherd killed:

A Bangladesh­i shepherd died in Salmi area after stepping on a landmine believed to be a remnant from the Iraqi invasion, says Al-Seyassah.

Apparently, the sheep was grazing in the area when the shepherd walked on the mine and it went off.

Acting on informatio­n, a team of experts from the explosives department went to the scene with paramedics and securityme­n.

The victim was found dead in a pool of blood. The remains were referred to Forensics.

Drugs with youngsters:

Police have arrested five youngsters — three male and two female — for possessing and consuming drugs, reports Al-Shahed daily.

The five were arrested in Hawalli because police suspected the youth behind the wheel looked like he was attempting to stay away from police.

Police have seized from them narcotic pills and meth drugs and referred them to the General Department of

Drugs Control.

Woman insulted:

A stranger is said to have insulted a Kuwaiti lady in her flat in Fintas area and escaped, says Al-Seyassah.

The lady placed a call to the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry saying a stranger insulted her in her flat, and ran away. She provided details of the suspect to the police. It has been circulated to checkpoint­s for his arrest.

Trapped in car:

A motorist was trapped inside the wreckage of a vehicle that toppled on the Fifth Ring Road opposite the Avenues Mall, says Al-Seyassah. Acting on informatio­n, a team of rescue men went to the scene while firemen cut the wreckage to remove the injured person and paramedics referred him to the Farwaniya Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen was taken to Adan Hospital amid injuries in different parts of the body after a traffic accident on the King Fahad Motorway. A case was registered.
