KUWAIT CITY, June 28, (Agencies): Kuwait Credit Bank (KCB) Director General Salah Al-Mudaf said on Wednesday losses inflicted at the news headquarters building due to the recent fire did not exceed KD 2 million ($6.5 million), noting that they would be covered by the insurance company, not public funds.
Al-Mudaf, speaking at the project site in South Surrah, indicated that the fire caused delay of the venture handover for six months, maximum.
The fire, losses of which were estimated at five percent of the project value, caused no injuries, he said, lauding the extraordinary efforts by the Kuwaiti firemen who doused the flames.
A new plan is in the offing to complete this vital project, one of the State of Kuwait key ventures.
Deportation for couple: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant-General Mahmoud Al-Dossari has ordered the deportation of an Egyptian man with his wife, reports Al-Anba daily.
They were arrested as soon as they arrived at the Kuwait International Airport.
On June 14, 2017, it was reported the couple had left the country after locking their two sons – believed to be four and six years old -- inside an apartment in Khaitan.
The grandfather of the boys informed the police after he failed to get a response from his son and when police went to the apartment, they found the two frightened looking boys.
The boys also will be deported with the parents.
