‘Muslim turmoil a conspiracy’

Taleban, Qaeda, DAESH ‘revealed’

-

“FOR quarter of a century, there was an AmericanWestern strategy mostly based on conspiring against Islam and linking the religion to terrorism,” columnist, legal expert and former dean of Kuwait University’s Faculty of Law Professor Dr Mohammad Abdulmohsen Al-Maqate’i wrote for Al-Qabas daily.

“This conspiracy was aimed to keep people under the impression that terrorism is Islam and Islam is terrorism. However, Americans, through various types of collaboration with some other Western countries, managed to promote their scheme in this regard. They successfully promoted their strategy through several arrangements and programs.

“The Americans had prepared a wide international media campaign for this purpose through which they promoted a strategy aimed at ingraining in the minds of people throughout the world that terrorism is inherent to Islam.

“The warlords in Afghanistan had played a significant role in promoting this campaign. These warlords were groomed and trained by the West to form extremist groups in the name of Islam. This had resulted in the Americans adopting a slogan for fighting the Taleban Movement and its leaders and considering them as a terrorist group in order to launch an international mobilization for fighting this group in the name of fighting terrorism.

“However, the Americans, in order to blackmail various countries and the people, forced them to earmark millions and even billions of dollars for fighting terrorism which was represented by Islam. They ignored the fact that this constitutes an injustice against both Islam and Muslims.

“Thus, the Americans, through such a strategy claiming that “Terrorism is Islam and Islam is Terrorism” and by exploiting Taleban practices, had managed to place Islam and Muslims within the circle of terrorism in order to justify killing Muslims, occupying their countries, destroying their infrastructures and looting their wealth.

“The world eventually started realizing that the American allegations in this regard are fake and baseless, that Taleban was created by Americans, and that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism. When this happened, the Americans swiftly hastened towards changing their banner, but in way that aimed at continuing to ensure people everywhere believed that Sunni Islam represents terrorism. They adopted a new slogan that was based on fighting Al-Qaeda network in order to continue killing Muslims, taking over their countries, imposing power and creating parties for purposes such as assisting Iran in expanding its influence in Arab Sunni countries.

“Given the above, we saw how the countdown in this regard began in Iraq since 2004 where relevant arrangements had been setup for fighting Sunni Islam in the name of fighting Al-Qaeda network in order to kill Sunni Muslims and phase out Sunni Islam in Iraq.

“However, when the banner of Al-Qaeda network had been brought down following the killing of its alleged leaders, the Americans deleted the name of Al-Qaeda network from their banners and replaced the same with the name of a new enemy - the Islamic State (IS) or socalled “DAESH.”

“DAESH was created solely by Americans in 2006. By 2011, the foundation of DAESH was declared, and this organization suddenly managed to dominate vast areas in both Iraq and Syria. It also swiftly managed to impose its existence in Yemen and Libya.

“This organization also started carrying out its operations in some other countries such as Egypt and some European countries. It reached a point where many believed terrorism is inherent to Islam. It is indeed fabricated scenario and manipulated schemes arranged by the Americans in collaboration with some Western countries.

“In addition, some Arab dictatorial regimes seized the opportunity and started portraying Islam as a synonym to terrorism in order to kill their people and liquidate their political opponents in the name of the war against DAESH and terrorism. These despotic and dictatorial regimes were determined to use this opportunity to get rid of every honest personality, eradicate free voice and remove all their opponents in the name of fighting terrorism.

“Iran also took advantage of this opportunity to start expanding its influence in Sunni countries with the help of America. This was evident from the domination on Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Lebanon by Iranians and their allies, and their interference in the internal affairs of many Gulf countries particularly Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

“This is the American strategy, conspiracy and sectarian equation. This is how they managed to promote such a strategy among various nations and people throughout the world by linking terrorism to Islam. In addition, they allegedly consider the religion as a source of terrorism through the hoisting of various banners. Hence, we are currently paying the price, which is evident from the current reality based on which Iran is dominating about one third of the Arab world through its military and demographic existence in the relevant countries.

“In conclusion, we hope every Muslim will realize the nature of the woven conspiracy. However, they also should keep in mind that this conspiracy will be foiled sooner or later.”

“The escape of members of the so-called “Al-Abdali Cell,” after they were convicted by the judiciary, is still gripping the minds of many people, especially when knowing that travel ban had been imposed on all the convicts,” columnist and former director of Culture Department at the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters Waleed Al-Rujaib wrote for Al-Rai daily.

“Many of these people had raised several questions concerning the reactions of security authorities, and some believe the relevant reactions came too late.

“Although the verdict of the Court of Cassation had been issued after a period that cannot be considered as short, the fact that these convicts were in hiding raises many questions related to the surveillance that was supposed to be imposed on them especially since they are convicted in a perilous State Security case.

“The diplomatic measures that had been taken by the concerned state authorities against Iran following the escape of the convicts are in line with the relevant international conventions and laws, and represent one of the sovereign rights of these authorities. We say the above even though such a development calls for regret over the regional political relations.

“Nevertheless, the aspect that raises fear in citizens is to see this situation being negatively reflected on the national unity due to the prospective agitation of sectarian hatred among the country’s various communal components. Such an agitation could prove to be very dangerous and will threaten the national unity and national peace.

“As a matter of fact, the Gulf citizens are still suffering from the cracks that had surfaced recently among some Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states. They will suffer more in case of occurrence of any sectarian crack in the unified Kuwaiti community – God forbid.

“To avert the above, all Kuwaiti citizens should commit to their patriotic sense and curb all bids for agitation of chaos. They should keep in mind that the rights of Kuwaiti citizens are guaranteed by the country’s Constitution with the support of the entire Kuwaiti community represented by its various sectarian, tribal and denominational belongings.

“Such being the case, both citizens and members of the National Assembly should be armed with necessary security vigilance and must shoulder their responsibility efficiently for the sake of the homeland and its security.”

“It is said in ancient times that there was a great kingdom ruled by a fair ruler and his palace was open to all people to present their suggestions and advice in the rule of the kingdom. The king heard everyone and took their opinions, so he was the model of a fair ruler,” columnist Abdulrahman Al-Awwad wrote for Al-Sabah daily.

“On the king’s birthday, people in the village gave him the most precious thing they had. A peasant gave the king a bird, telling him that it is the most precious thing he owns. The king asked the peasant about the benefit of the gift (bird), and the peasant told him that he used it as a trap by putting it in a place where it sings and invites other birds of his kind, so he can catch them.

“The king cut the head of the bird on grounds that it is treason and causes murder of birds of the same kind.

“The wisdom behind this story is very great. Betrayal of the homeland and people is an atrocious and vicious crime and the perpetrator must get the punishment.

“The issue of Abdali Cell is a matter of great treachery, so its perpetrators should not escape the fair punishment determined by the fair judiciary. Even those who sold their homeland and their people for money and poisoned ideas and escaped should return and be punished for what they did.”

“The world has never witnessed an era such as the reign of Donald Trump as President of the United States of America, because it is a very dangerous era which Europeans and other writers had warned about,” AbdulRahman Al-Jumai’an wrote for Al-Nahar daily.

“These writers were scared of seeing the far-right mounting the saddle of leadership and the escalation of crises across the world, while chaos would become the order of the day and it would spread to all parts of the world. Undoubtedly, the mindset of Trump is that of a businessman whose main preoccupation is about profit and loss.

“For this, his character and ideology are reflected on the US Administration. The most delicate and highest level of such reflection is on US public institutions considering the split and misunderstanding among officials who disagree over issues. This has been happening conspicuously.”

“For the first time in 48 years, the doors of Al-Aqsa Mosque were shut in the face of Jerusalem’s people, preventing from performing prayers in a challenge to the feelings of Muslims, Arabs and the world,” Mohammad Al-Motny wrote for Annahar daily.

“This goes smoothly and uncommonly. Perhaps, the Arabs got tired of condemnation this time, as they always do. Perhaps, they are busy or this is a prelude to what comes next.

“Weakness of interaction is not surprising with such an abhorrent incident. Arab countries have created enough problems and conflicts, brainwashing and demonizing resistance movements in Palestine.

“Today, the preoccupation of Arab countries is natural to things that exist on the ground of reality — most importantly the absence of the role of the people, a role which is confined at the official level, that is to say, the role of governments which do not represent the opinion of the people.

“It is strange this time as some of us who are supposed to share one destiny have removed shyness from their sick hearts and ugly faces as they openly declare support for the Zionist entity and hold Palestinians accountable for what is happening.

“It is strange that these people appear on television news channels and social networking sites, shamelessly declaring and promoting their scandalous ideas.

“Anyway, the honorable people of Palestine were able to rise on Friday when they fulfilled their duties and more despite their limited capabilities. They are now defending their honor and land, so they do not care about silent governments.”

“The calamity bedeviling the Muslim Ummah is not only about the occupation of Palestinian territories and Muslim Holy Land. The worse scenario is about some acclaimed philosophers making orientation, liberation and renewed religious speeches to renounce the inviolability of Islam in a way that justifies the criminal activities of Zionists in the occupied territories,” Nasser Khamis Al-Mutairi wrote for Al-Nahar daily.

“The most recent speech of those who misrepresent exchange of religious ideas under the slogan of “renewal” was ideas discussed by fictionist Yousef Zaidan in denying the presence of Al-Aqsa Mosque inside Palestine and refuting the story of the ascension of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He supported his claim with quotations from the Holy Qu’ran and Traditions of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), while presenting speeches that contradicted one another.

“Why would author Yousef Zaidan deny the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque that stands as the first of the ‘two Qiblas’ (direction faced by Muslims for prayer)?

“The Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to lead congregation prayers facing the direction of Al-Aqsa Mosque at the earliest period of his mission before changing toward Al-Haram Mosque in Makkah. The fact that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) chose Aqsa as Qiblah is not enough proof of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and its position to Yousef Zaidan!

“Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) desire. It is no less than inspiration sent down to him.”

“The disturbing aspect about the escape of the convicted members of Abdali Cell or about them hiding inside Kuwait is the lack of prompt and decisive actions by security authorities from Ministry of Interior,” Dr Ali Al-Za’abi wrote for Al-Shahed daily.

“The contradicting official viewpoints, leaked or announced, seem to have complicated the issue further along with lack of transparency. Due to this, Ministry of Interior should not be surprised when a large section of the society does not believe in its position. For instance, the ministry reacted to the issue quite late, such that it kept watching public opinions in this regard without making any response.

“This caused people to doubt whether the ministry took any precautionary measures concerning the matter. Yesterday, the ministry clarified that it did not remove travel ban on members of the Cell, and that it was still present. It was then that the position taken by the government became acceptable to the people.”
