KD 120.3m to be allocated to 5th chapter of expenses

PADA’s total budget is KD 125.84 m: Al-Ansari

KUWAIT CITY, July 27: Deputy Director General for Human Resources and Financial Affairs at Public Authority for Disabled Affairs Anwar Al-Ansari revealed that the total budget of the authority is KD 125.84 million from which KD 120.3 million will be allocated to the fifth chapter of the expenses and transfer payments to spend on financial benefits of people with special needs as stated in Law No. 8/2010 concerning the rights of this category, reports Aljarida daily.

He said the rest of the budget will be distributed as follows — KD 3.8 million will be allocated to the first chapter of salaries and wages, KD 1 million for goods and services, KD 196,000 for transport, equipment and machinery, construction projects, maintenance and general acquisition.

Regarding the online services currently available for people with special needs, Al-Ansari explained that they can benefit from the 27 services currently available through the website. These include request for allowances for drivers and housemaids, allowances for disabled people above 18 years of age and renewal of disability certificate.
