‘Kuwaiti House’ design finalized

One-of-a-kind in GCC

KUWAIT CITY, July 27: Director of Technical Supervisio­n Department at Ministry of Electricit­y and Water Eng Iqbal Al-Tayyar has affirmed the completion of the first phase related to the design of the Kuwaiti House, which will be constructe­d next to Souk Sharq, reports Aljarida daily.

In a press statement, she explained that the Kuwaiti House will be unique and one-of-a-kind in the GCC countries. It will focus on rationaliz­ation of electricit­y and water usage. In other words, it will be a museum related to rationaliz­ation of electricit­y and water usage through which citizens and residents will be able to learn about the latest technologi­es for electricit­y and water conservati­on in the world as well as how to save energy by recycling using different insulators. It will be made available for students of schools and colleges in order for them to conduct studies and research on rationaliz­ation.

Eng Al-Tayyar indicated about ongoing meetings with the Kuwait Municipali­ty, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) and Ministry of Electricit­y and Water for finalizing the project so that it becomes a unique reality on the land of Kuwait.
