Japanese camera and copier maker Canon lifted its full-year profit outlook on Thursday, expecting steady growth in sales of printers and medical devices.

The Tokyo-based company revised upward its net profit outlook to 220 billion yen ($1.98 billion) for the fiscal year through December, up from its earlier estimate of 180 billion yen. It also forecast sales to hit 4.05 trillion yen, up from 4.02 trillion yen projected earlier. Net profit, meanwhile, soared 52.6 percent to 124.3 billion yen.
