Al-Habtoor, Slovak envoy discuss tourism promotion

Al-Habtoor (center) in talks with the Slovakian envoy. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group held talks with HE Dusan Horniak, the Slovakian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates at the Al Habtoor Group head office. His Excellency Horniak is based in Abu Dhabi.

Accompanyi­ng the ambassador was Omar Hamui, Public Relations Officer, Embassy of Slovak Republic. Also present from the Al Habtoor Group was Sultan Al Habtoor, President, Al Habtoor Motors; Sanjeev Agarwala, Chief Operating Officer — Hospitalit­y & Investment­s at Al Habtoor Group and Sunderesh Iyer, Chief Operating Officer — Al Habtoor Investment.

They discussed the political and economic climate in Slovakia, and HE Horniak briefed the Al Habtoor Group Chairman on increased tourism in the Eastern European country and told him about tourism related investment­s.

The Ambassador said tourism is on the rise in the country, which offers tourists a diverse offering. Slovakia, part of the European Union, is renowned for its beautiful natural landscapes, mountains and medieval castles.

Khalaf Al Habtoor, who currently owns two hotels in Eastern Europe said, “Over the past few years I have increased my internatio­nal assets in Europe. We now have two hotels in Budapest, The RitzCarlto­n Budapest and the InterConti­nental Budapest; one in Austria, The Hotel Imperial Vienna and one in London, the Hilton London Wembley. I am always on the lookout for further opportunit­ies if the climate is right.”
