KFSD holds draw for diploma courses

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 22: Kuwait Fire Service Directorat­e (KFSD) carried out a draw on Monday, Aug 21 related to the firefighti­ng engineerin­g diploma courses for Second Lieutenant and Lance Corporal Firefighte­rs.

According to a press release issued by KFSD, Vice-Director General of Human Resources Developmen­t and Head of Interview Committee Major General Eng Yousef Al-Tarkit was present at the event along with representa­tives of Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), members of Admission Committee, Deputy Head of Interview Committee Brigadier Khalid Abdullah Fahad, Colonel Mohammad Al-Qahtani, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al-Ansari and Maliha Al-Kandari.

‘Water good’:

Minister of Electricit­y and Water, Minister of Oil Eng. Essam Al-Marzouq has assured the citizens and expatriate­s that Kuwaiti water is free from any contaminan­ts, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Marzouq added, the latest report from the Marine Emergency Mutual Aid Centre (MEMAC), Regional Organizati­on for the Protection of the Marine Environmen­t (ROPME) based in the Kingdom of Bahrain showed Kuwaiti water is free from any contaminan­ts, according inspection course, Lance Corporal firefighte­r course and Lance Corporal vehicle operator course for the year 2017/2018 have to undergo medical checkup and carry out the admission procedures at the Center for Qualifying Firefighte­rs in Kabad area based on the following schedule:

1 — Those accepted for the Second Lieutenant firefighti­ng engineerin­g diploma course from numbers 1 to 20 in the declared list as well as those accepted for the Lance Corporal vehicle operator course from numbers 1 to 20 in the declared list have to visit the aforementi­oned site on Tuesday, Aug 22 at 9:00 am.

2 — Those accepted for the Lance Corporal vehicle operator course from numbers 21 to 76 in the announced list have to visit the Kabad Center on Wednesday, Aug 23 at 9:00 am.

3 — All those who have been accepted for the Lance Corporal firefighti­ng course have to be at the
