Fire engulfed two vehicles in Shuwaikh Industrial Area. No casualties were reported but material losses were incurred.
According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the vehicles on fire, firefighters, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location.
Firefighters extinguished the fire before it spread to nearby vehicles.
Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
Meanwhile, a Bangladeshi expatriate sustained burns while he was extinguishing a fire that engulfed a house in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area.
Firefighters rushed to the location and extinguished the fire, while paramedics referred the victim to Farwaniya Hospital.
A security source said a team of rescue men was dispatched to the scene after the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry had been notified about the incident but the motorist was nowhere to be found upon their arrival to the scene. The vehicle was removed from the road and necessary measures have since been taken to arrest the driver.
Meanwhile, two Kuwaitis suffered various degrees of injuries and were taken to Jahra Hospital for treatment following a two vehicle collision on Jahra Motorway.
Plan to restore digital numbering:
The Criminal Evidences Department of Ministry of Interior is planning to restore the use of digital numbering system in Cybercrime Division, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting informed sources.
They explained that the ministry will build a special laboratory with global specifications for the Criminal Evidences Department.
The ministry has floated a tender for specialized global companies in this field to present their offers. The developed devices will contribute in obtaining information from any devices even if they were damaged or deleted.
