RENTON, Washington, Aug 29, (AP): After receiving positive feedback from two players who had the procedure in recent weeks, the Seahawks sent five more players to have an orthopedic procedure known as Regenokine done to prepare for the start of the regular season.

Defensive ends Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett, guard Luke Joeckel, wide receiver Tyler Lockett and linebacker Michael Wilhoite were all absent from practice Monday and will miss the final week of the preseason while receiving the treatment.

Linebackers K.J. Wright and D.J. Alexander each left to have the procedure done in recent weeks. Their positive sitting inside his vehicle, just feet away from officers.” Washington says he was putting the weapon away.

Washington’s attorney Clyde Bennett II says the not-guilty finding means Washington is “free and clear” of the charge in the court system.

The New York Jets have released defensive lineman Devon Still and signed cornerback Armagedon Draughn.

Still and his daughter, Leah, made headlines over the past few years while documenting her battle with cancer. He was signed by the Jets earlier this month and said his 7-yearold daughter’s cancer has been in remission for two years.

Still, who had a half-sack against the Giants last Saturday, has also played for Houston and Cincinnati.

Draughn, who was a member of the Ottawa Redblacks of the CFL, played at four different schools during college, including Albany State, Delta State, Missouri State and Tuskegee.

New York Giants backup defensive end Owa Odighizuwa has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the regular season for violating the NFL’s policy on performanceenhancing substances. The league announced the suspension Monday, less than a week before teams have to reduce their rosters to 53 players.

It was questionable whether Odighizuwa would have made the roster. He missed most of the off-season training.

Odighizuwa will be eligible to return to the Giants’ active roster on Oct 2, a day after the team’s game against Tampa Bay.

A third-round pick out of UCLA in 2015, Odighizuwa is eligible to participate in all remaining preseason practices
