Ivory Coast woman dies in fall

Lankan drowns in pool

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 12: A 32-yearold woman from Ivory Coast died when she fell from the fourth floor of a building in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to a security source, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received a call from a Sri Lankan woman who said she found her neighbor’s body lying motionless in the yard of the building, Farwaniya security personnel, accompanie­d by officers from Investigat­ions and Medical Emergency department­s, rushed to the location and found the corpse of the African woman.

The corpse was referred to the Forensics Department, and detectives are investigat­ing the circumstan­ces behind the incident and verifying whether she committed suicide or was murdered.

Death probed:

Police are investigat­ing the death of an unidentifi­ed Kuwaiti youth in Sabah Al-Salem, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, when the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received a report on the death police and personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department rushed to the house of the victim and found the corpse on the floor of the bedroom.

Police also saw traces of fire in the air-conditioni­ng unit, which suggests the youth may have died after inhaling poisonous fumes.

Lankan dies in pool:

A 26-yearold Sri Lankan drowned in the swimming pool on the farm of his sponsor in Abdali, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily quoting police sources said according the sponsor he went to the pool without his permission.

The corpse of the victim has been referred to Forensics.

Pakistanis caught drunk:

Three Pakistanis were arrested for consuming liquor and loitering around a sensitive building, reports Al-Shahed daily.

According to security sources, police officers who were on routine patrol suspected the trio who were in a car and hanging around a sensitive building.

They approached the trio and checked their details to discover they are Pakistanis. They also noticed their disoriente­d state and discovered they are highly intoxicate­d.

The three suspects were referred to Zahra Police Station where a case of drinking liquor in a public place was filed against them.
