ABK adds Egyptian pound currency to ‘multi-currency freedom prepaid card’

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 12: Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) continues to pave the way with its simple and innovative products, with the addition of the Egyptian Pound to its list of currencies to offer 11 in total with the aim of catering to a larger segment of its customers. The bank will be granting customers the card free of charge until 30 September, 2017 and will cancel card issuance fees for each customer and donate the same amount to Kuwait Red Crescent Society.

The ABK Freedom prepaid card is a multi-currency cash passport solution for frequent travelers, which offers security, convenience and total freedom when traveling. In addition to the newly added Egyptian Pound, the card includes 10 currencies namely: The Kuwaiti Dinar, US Dollar, British Pound, EURO, Emirati Dirham, Bahraini Dinar, Qatari Riyal, Swiss Francs, the Canadian Dollar and the Saudi Riyal.

The card is free of charge until 30th September 2017 and can be requested at any ABK branch. ABK customers and non-customers from age 18 and above are eligible to apply.

The card offers major benefits for ABK customers, one of the major benefit is that it locks-in exchange rate at the time of the transfer, free travel insurance of up to USD 250,000 and a various offers and promotions from Priceless Arabia by MasterCard and MasterCard global assistance services. Additionally, customers can enjoy a dedicated Online Portal that offers secure access to card account details and real-time reloading, purchase protection, fraud protection, cash withdrawal facilities at ATM’s abroad and ABK ATM’s locally and more importantly, worldwide acceptance.
