AUB holds training program for employees
Bank enhances communications with special needs customers
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 13: Continuing its on-going efforts to enhance communications with special needs customers who have special hearing or speech needs, Ahli United Bank has organized a specialized training program on sign language for its employees. The program, which will last two weeks and is being held from Sept 10 to 25 at the Bank’s new training center at its Mishref branch, will be delivered by Dr Najat Mokhtar, a translator and expert in sign language in Kuwait.
The program is part of a series of special programs on sign language started by AUB last year demonstrating the Bank’s keen desire to provide continuous training to its employees on sign language to guarantee the best banking services for special needs customers with hearing or speech impairment while communicating with the Bank’s employees.
About these programs, Amer Najem, Head of Branches at AUB, said: “The present program complements the series of sign language programs started by Ahli United Bank last year with the aim to help our valued customers who have special hearing or speech needs to perform their banking transactions without the assistance of a sign language translator. The program is part of AUB’s continuous efforts to provide high quality personalized banking services to its special needs customers. By implementing the series of programs, the Bank ensures that its branches are ready and equipped to serve these customers and to help them complete their banking transactions smoothly and efficiently and in accordance with their individual personal needs.”
Najem explained, “Through having staff with knowledge of sign language readily available at many of our branches the Bank underscores its continuous development and its deep commitment to provide the highest quality of banking services to all segments of society, with particular emphasis on individuals with special needs, in line with the Bank’s social responsibility and its role in facilitating the assimilation of special need individuals within society.”
