HH the Amir congratulates Singapore’s new president
Sheikh Sabah cables Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala on nat’l days
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 14, (KUNA): His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable to newly-elected President of Singapore Halimah Yacob expressing congratulations on her election.
He also expressed felicitations to President Yacob on her swearing-in to assume the top post, expressing good wishes to her and hoping to see further enhancement of the bilateral relations between the two countries.
Their Highnesses the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak AlSabah addressed identical cables to the new president.
His Highness the Amir sent Thursday a congratulatory cable to President of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega on his country’s national day.
His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah also sent similar cables.
His Highness the Amir sent a cable to President of Honduras Juan Orlando Hernandez, congratulating him on his country’s national day.

In a sad development, HH the Amir on Thursday sent his deepest condolences to the victims of a fire that gutted an Islamic center in the Malaysian capital, leaving scores of people dead or injured. His sentiments were expressed in a cable sent to Malaysian King Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan, in which he also wished all those wounded in the blaze a speedy recovery.
