A Kuwaiti under the influence of narcotics caused commotion at a restaurant in Fahaheel area when he assaulted workers for delaying his meal.

Apparently, the citizen started shouting at the workers shortly after placing an order and insisted they were taking too long to serve the meal. He attacked and assaulted workers who tried to calm him down and caused damage to anything in his reach.

The Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior was notified about the episode and Ahmadi securityme­n were deployed to the scene to deal with the situation. A security source said the officers managed to control the deranged citizen after resisting arrest, and an envelope full of illicit substance was found on him during a precaution­ary search. He was referred to Drug Prosecutio­n.

Family escapes fire:

A family escaped unhurt after a fire erupted in their house in Saad Al-Abdullah area, reports Al-Anba daily.

Apparently, the fire started when a member of the family dumped hot coal for incense in a litter bin.

Firefighte­rs from Jahra Brigade went to the scene, evacuated the house, and put out the fire without casualty.

Two police officers abused:

General Department of Public Relations and Security Media at Ministry of Interior, in a press release, stated that an unidentifi­ed man was arrested for trespassin­g into Jahra Police Station, which is currently undergoing renovation, and verbally abusing two policemen, all of which was captured in a video clip that went viral on social media.

The suspect managed to escape, but he collided with a vehicle and was caught with the cooperatio­n of Kuwaiti bystanders.

It was discovered that the suspect was under the influence of psychotrop­ic substances and liquor.

Youth hurt in fight:

A Kuwaiti youth sustained a deep gash on his face when he was attacked with a sharp object during a quarrel that broke out among some youths in Abdullah Mubarak area, reports AlNahar daily.

According to sources, the youths used iron rods and sharp objects during the quarrel.
