A Kuwaiti un­der the in­flu­ence of nar­cotics caused com­mo­tion at a res­tau­rant in Fa­ha­heel area when he as­saulted work­ers for de­lay­ing his meal.

Ap­par­ently, the cit­i­zen started shout­ing at the work­ers shortly af­ter plac­ing an or­der and in­sisted they were tak­ing too long to serve the meal. He at­tacked and as­saulted work­ers who tried to calm him down and caused dam­age to any­thing in his reach.

The Op­er­a­tions Room of the Min­istry of In­te­rior was no­ti­fied about the episode and Ah­madi se­cu­ri­ty­men were de­ployed to the scene to deal with the sit­u­a­tion. A se­cu­rity source said the of­fi­cers man­aged to con­trol the de­ranged cit­i­zen af­ter re­sist­ing ar­rest, and an en­ve­lope full of il­licit sub­stance was found on him dur­ing a pre­cau­tion­ary search. He was re­ferred to Drug Pros­e­cu­tion.

Fam­ily es­capes fire:

A fam­ily es­caped un­hurt af­ter a fire erupted in their house in Saad Al-Ab­dul­lah area, re­ports Al-Anba daily.

Ap­par­ently, the fire started when a mem­ber of the fam­ily dumped hot coal for in­cense in a lit­ter bin.

Fire­fight­ers from Jahra Bri­gade went to the scene, evac­u­ated the house, and put out the fire with­out ca­su­alty.

Two po­lice of­fi­cers abused:

Gen­eral De­part­ment of Public Re­la­tions and Se­cu­rity Me­dia at Min­istry of In­te­rior, in a press re­lease, stated that an uniden­ti­fied man was ar­rested for tres­pass­ing into Jahra Po­lice Sta­tion, which is cur­rently un­der­go­ing ren­o­va­tion, and ver­bally abus­ing two po­lice­men, all of which was cap­tured in a video clip that went vi­ral on so­cial me­dia.

The sus­pect man­aged to es­cape, but he col­lided with a ve­hi­cle and was caught with the co­op­er­a­tion of Kuwaiti by­standers.

It was dis­cov­ered that the sus­pect was un­der the in­flu­ence of psy­chotropic sub­stances and liquor.

Youth hurt in fight:

A Kuwaiti youth sus­tained a deep gash on his face when he was at­tacked with a sharp ob­ject dur­ing a quar­rel that broke out among some youths in Ab­dul­lah Mubarak area, re­ports AlNa­har daily.

Ac­cord­ing to sources, the youths used iron rods and sharp ob­jects dur­ing the quar­rel.
