KUWAIT CITY, Sept 19: In partnership with the non-profit organization, INJAZ Kuwait, the TEDxAlShuwaikh event was held on 16 September at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre. At the event, representatives from INJAZ Kuwait spoke to hundreds of participants to further its cause in empowering young people to own their economic success.
The INJAZ Kuwait vision for “inspiring and preparing young people to become successful, contributing members of the society” is well aligned with the TEDxAlShuwaikh theme for this year; “Ideas Worth Spreading”.
In line with the theme, INJAZ Kuwait hosted “Brain Hero Meetings” where interested individuals could approach representatives to talk about a number of issues pertaining to careers and skills for youth. High profile executives from INJAZ Kuwait, Dr Samar Baqer, Abdulwahab AlZankawi and the INJAZ Kuwait CEO, Laila Al Mutairi, spoke to people on marketing for the Z generation, public speaking and pursuing a career in nonprofit organisations.
INJAZ Kuwait CEO, Laila Al Mutairi expressed her pleasure at the response of attendees saying: “The interest displayed by people coming up to the stand was heartwarming to see. We are always eager to see volunteers become involved with our mission to enable Kuwaiti youth to take charge of their future and success. Events such as TEDxAlShuwaikh serve as an ideal platform for us to meet such individuals and encourage them to play their part in the future of Kuwaiti education and economy.”
