MoJ to have a new building in Shuwaikh

Docus pertaining to cases in custody of ministry: Al-Azab

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 20: The Minister of Justice and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Falah Al-Azab disclosed the Ministry of Justice will soon have a new building in Shuwaikh. The ministry offices will be built on a piece of land belonging to the ministry, reports Al-Anba daily.

Al-Azab told the daily, the procedures and the necessary approvals for the constructi­on of the new building will be accelerate­d due to the importance of the ministry and its connection with the judiciary.

Meanwhile, the Minister revealed the Archives building belonging to the ministry will be opened in the Ardhiya Industrial Area. He added, this is one of the most important new buildings and pointed about 60,000 files will be transferre­d to the new building.

Al-Azab stressed all files and documents pertaining to the cases are in the custody of Ministry and that no document is lost.

The Ministry of Justice, Al-Azab added, he has seen a number of achievemen­ts during the past period in terms of facilitati­ng the service to the visitors, including what will be launched during the next few days, such as an electronic applicatio­n and the launch of the Ministry’s website and self-service system, which provides more than 70 services to facilitate the visitors and employees of the Ministry.

In addition to this, he disclosed, the launch of the advanced mobile service centers after the cancellati­on of the old service centers. He added the modern services centers are currently being introduced suitable for the ministry.

Al-Azab revealed the results of his meeting with officials of the Ministry of Justice — managers, supervisor­s and employees of different department­s will be disclosed soon for all to see — citizens and residents.

A new service center will be opened at the Avenues Mall and a passenger terminal will be opened at the Abdali border crossing to offer services to those who need them. He stressed that the opening of any border service center is not easy.

“I feel the pain when I see any citizen or an expatriate suffering due to long waiting period. I am a citizen first before I became minister. I listen to any complaints and investigat­e and I seek to resolve them immediatel­y”.
