KIB appoints James Eugene Galligan as General Manager of Retail Banking
Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced that it has obtained the approval of the Central Bank of Kuwait to appoint James Eugene Galligan as General Manager of the Retail Banking Department, after having served as Deputy General Manager and Acting General Manager of the same department. KIB’s statement noted that this appointment comes as a result of the outstanding performance and dedicated efforts Galligan has demonstrated since joining the Bank’s executive management team in 2015.
In its announcement, KIB lauded Galligan for his expertise and broad-ranging experience. A career banker, Galligan has over 36 years of experience in the field, 15 years of which were spent in senior management and executive level roles. A seasoned professional, he combines his strong sales and operations acumen in order to drive the transformation of the Bank’s retail banking division. Galligan has extensive industry experience having held senior executive positions in the field of retail banking across Europe and the Middle East, and he has amassed a wealth of local experience, having held key senior positions at several of Kuwait’s premier banks.
Galligan will be leading KIB’s retail banking team in delivering creative and innovative business solutions, designed to completely revolutionize the Bank’s retail business and enhance its competitive position, in accordance with its strategic plans.
KIB concluded its statement by noting that the Bank is proud to count Galligan as one of its key executives, given his extensive expertise and industry experience. It serves to note that this latest appointment comes as part of KIB’s long-term strategy, which focuses on investing in the growth and development of its employees in order to propel their career progression towards senior management roles.
