The British Academy of Sport (BAS) organised another successful sports trip to Carlingford, Dundalk and Dublin in Ireland. A group of 17 students and 3 teachers enjoyed a fun filled adventure holiday as part of their term break.

The trip was for 6 days in the Carlingford region, a beautiful resort and coastal town in northern County Louth with many medieval houses and streets with amazing views.

The students had a great time and enjoyed many sports activities including: Canoeing, Raft Building

Photos from the event Challenge, Zipwire, Skypark, Archery, Laser Combat, Aeroball, 3D Maze, Rock Climbing, Challenge Island, Trampo in Dundalk and the exceptional Leprechaun Hunt!

Apart from these activities the students also enjoyed three special evening activities including: Night in the forest, Bush Craft Skills and Murder Mystery where they learned the essential survival skills that every ones needs to know.

All these activities were planned in advance especially for BAS Students by the Carlingford Adventure Center which is the largest Adventure Center in Ireland.

The students also spent a wonderful time in Tayto Park in Dublin and visited the third biggest stadium in Europe, Croke Park Stadium in Dublin. At the stadium the children were fascinated to learn about Gaelic Games including Hurling and Gaelic Football.

Another unique experience for the students was to meet and spend time at the Adventure Center with two different groups: one with a group of Mexican Students and the other group from Nural Huda Islamic School in Dublin.

The trip culminated with an Awards Evening where most of the students participated in the traditional show “BAS Got Talent Show” and all received medals, certificates and souvenirs of this historic trip in Ireland.

This amazing trip was organised in collaboration with the Irish Embassy in the UAE and was sponsored by Decathlon, Masafi and Crowne Plaza Hotel.

The next trip that BAS will organise will be in February 2018 to Singapore during the Academy Term Break.
