Urdu Poet Afroz to visit GCC countries

To represent Kuwait at Int’l Mushaira

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 7: In the month of November-2017, well known Urdu Poet and Writer Afroz Alam — President of Gulf Urdu Council and Vice-President of Writers’ Forum-Kuwait and also Maurya Kala Parisar-Kuwait is all set to visit Muscat (Oman), Jubail (Saudi Arabia) and Bahrain to participate in literary events; Mushaira, being organized by Urdu organizations viz Indian Social Club-Muscat (Oman), Karwane-Bhopal International-Jubail (KSA), and Lions Club — Bahrain. Several renowned poets from different parts of the world will be participating in these International Mushaira, wherein Afroz Alam will represent Kuwait.

Afroz Alam, being the President of Gulf Urdu Council-GCC, will also have an official meeting with members and office bearers of Oman-Muscat chapter, “Meet and Greet on Lunch Time” to Nov 10, 2017.

Afroz Alam, universally renowned Urdu poet, critic writer and hilarious anchor, has also authored Alfaz Kay Saye (Poetry), Dhup Kay Alam Me’ (Poetry), ‘Fsl-e-Taza (Poetry)’; Kuwait Kay Ahle-Qalam (Poetry); ‘Rashid Mewati: funo-shaksiyayt’ (Critic), and “Kuwait Me Adabi Peshraft (History of Urdu Literature in Kuwait)”. While on the subject, it will not be out of place to mention, Afroz Alam, in third quarter of 2017 has participated in 4 difference literary events in Kuwait. All the literary personalities of Kuwait wish him success in his new venture.
