KIPIC’s management celebrates its first anniversary. Kuwaitization at KIPIC has exceeded 90 percent of the company’s staff, CEO Hashim Sayed Hashim said, voicing pleasure and pride of the achievement.

Addressing a ceremony held at Al-Zour 2 building marking the first anniversary of the company, Hashim reviewed a host of major events in KIPIC’s history.

“The foundation process was not that easy. We completed the required documents from the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and the Ministries of Justice, and Commerce and Industry,” he said.

“It was a colossal challenge but we drew up a detailed and deliberative plan for a company that owns enormous assets. Al-Zour Refinery will be one of the largest in the region, and so will be the LNG Import Facilities and the Petrochemicals Complex (PRIZe),” Hashim added.

“We commenced with few people and we were keen to employ the Kuwaiti youth capacities. We established the administrative, financial and legal structures, with help of the experience of key employees and new graduates.”

Hashim lauded KIPIC’s staff who “have been working with zeal and sincerity.”

“This achievement could not be realized but through team spirit. Still there are further challenges ahead, but I have full confidence in you, and you will be the team that will build the region’s largest oil complex,” he noted. “I’d also like to commend the unlimited support from the KPC and its fellow subsidiary companies, the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) and the Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) in particular,” Hashim concluded.

Meanwhile, the CEO launched KIPIC’s website on the sidelines of the ceremony, where a group of Kuwaiti youth working for the company was honored.

“This ceremony is a cause for pride and we are looking forward to further achievements thanks to the efforts of the company’s entire staff, KPC and fellow companies” KIPIC’s DCEO for Financial and Administrative Affairs Mahmoud Abul said.

He affirmed that KIPIC’s projects would be a principal addition to the Kuwaiti economy. “We are all in service of Kuwait,” he stressed.

“KIPIC has managed to allure the top experiences of the Kuwaiti oil sector,” Abul said, adding that there would be further job opportunities for the Kuwaiti youth who will assume responsibility in the future and continue the way of achievements.
