Al-Ghareeb negotiating with KTV to broadcast his program
AUM opens plastic arts exhibition
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13: After the last documentary film that he produced — ‘Owfaih’, renowned producer and media practitioner Jassem Al-Ghareeb revealed he is currently negotiating with Kuwait and Aburaqba television channels to broadcast the Ramadan program he intends to produce, reports Al-Anba daily.
The program will be about cooking with comic content and guests who like food too much will be invited to the show. Actor Ahmad Al-Ownan will host the show acting as a man with two wives who do not know anything about cooking, so they will have a new chef daily.
Al-Ownan will interview different guests including artists, retirees, athletes and disabled. The program will discuss daily issues and concerns of people.
Asked what could be the reason behind the dwindling production activities in the GCC, Al-Ownan pointed out the common Gulf programs are dying slowly while the GCC has been unable to come up with good productions; citing as an example the inadequate documentation of the humanitarian role of Kuwait.
Meanwhile, the American University of the Middle East (AUM) recently opened a plastic arts exhibition, showcasing 25 portraits drawn by students in the last five years, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The university said the paintings reflect the artistic sense of its students.
