‘Arabs must support coalition’

‘Curb Iran role in region’

-

“SOME people like to criticize Saudi Arabia and the Arab coalition in the war in Yemen,” columnist Abdulmohsen Mohammad Al-Husseini wrote for Al-Anba daily.

“None of these people, however, tried to review the events that preceded the decision that was taken by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques against the allies of Iran in Yemen, the Houthis and (the deposed president) Ali Abdullah Saleh and end the harassment of the Houthis and Saleh troops by launching missiles on some locations inside the Kingdom.

“In the beginning it was the Houthis who fired missiles on Saudi territory, and it is undoubtedly Iran that encouraged the Houthis and Ali Abdullah Saleh to fight Saudi Arabia on its behalf because Iran seeks to harm our Arab countries.

“Iran has carried out these acts of barbaric aggression in Iraq and Syria, by arming their followers to fight the Iraqi and Syrian states in an attempt to drag both Damascus and Baghdad into its areas of influence.

“Inside Iraq, Iran has managed to control the situation and pushed its followers to fight the Sunnis of Iraq. Not just that, Iran has formed the mobilization army, the so-called Popular Mobilization, to control all Iraqi cities.

“When some politicians demanded the dissolution of this army, the de facto ruler of Iran, Khamenei, refused and demanded that this army continue to fight the Islamic State or the so-called DAESH. This was what had been officially declared, but in fact the Popular Mobilization was only involved in fighting the Sunnis in Mosul and some other Iraqi cities.

“In Syria, Iran intervened in the internal affairs of this country in support of Bashar Al-Assad’s regime against the Syrians when the latter revolted to bring the ‘Alawite regime’ which currently dominates the power in Syria.

“Likewise, Iran intervenes in Syria on the pretext of fighting ‘DAESH’. This happened although the proIran Lebanese Hezbollah had agreed with ‘DAESH’ to exchange the prisoners of war (POWs).

“As a matter of fact, Hezbollah is known to be an Iranian organization, and this was confessed by the secretary-general of this party Al-Sayed Hassan Nasrallah.

“Not just that, it is Nasrallah who repeatedly declared his affiliation to the Jurist Regime of Iran and as such he refuses any attempts made to expel the Iranians from Syria and Lebanon.

“It is Hezbollah which has involved Lebanon into wars with Israel as a result of which many Lebanese have been killed by the Israeli army.

“In the Gaza Strip, Iran has pushed Hamas to launch rockets on Israel without setting up a plan to confront the Israeli retaliation, given the fact all of us have seen how Israel has vehemently retaliated against the Palestinians in Gaza and how the Gaza war ended without any positive outcome in favor of the Palestinian cause.

“Rather, this cause in the wake of this war witnessed some kind of setback and this was evident when Hamas reluctantly entered into a ceasefire agreement with Israel and undertook not to launch rockets at Israel.

“Iran also had supported Hezbollah and provided the latter with weapons and we found Nasrallah declaring in a loud voice, ‘this is the weapon of resistance’. But what we have seen and perceived shows that Hezbollah – the ally of Iran has used these weapons against the Lebanese and the Syrians and in Yemen.

“Not only that, Iran which still provides Houthis with weapons in the name of resistance. This happens, while the Houthis still continue their aggressions on Saudi territories.

“This is Iran and its actions which are aimed at only destroying the Arab countries. Hence, we see the Saudi Royal Order represented by the Decisive Resolution to counter the Houthis aggressions on the Saudi areas.

“Therefore, all of the Arabs and Muslims are requested to support the Arab Coalition and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to stop the Iranian influence in Arab countries and prevent the Houthis from having access to Saudi territories. In other words, it became a duty to prevent the Iranian expansion in our Arab region.

“We pray to Almighty Allah to help us.”

“I do hereby positively say ‘Yes’ the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been targeted as the late Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz (we pray to Almighty Allah to bestow His mercy upon him) had once said that the ‘dogma and security’ of the Kingdom has been targeted,” columnist Dr Hadi Khashan Al-Khaldi wrote for Al-Shahed daily.

“Now, the eyes of the entire world are focused on the Kingdom while the malicious hands are seriously working against its entity and stability.

“In the face of this we found how the guns, cannons and missiles have found their way to Saudi territories. In this context, we say how the missiles have gone beyond Najran and Jizan Governorates on their way to the Grand Holy Mosque (The House of Allah) who has also guaranteed to protect His House.

“Targeting of Saudi Arabia and specifically the House of Allah, is an obvious evidence that the war is religious and dogmatic in nature which is aimed at shaking the stability of the Kingdom and its entity in a prelude to assault the political power in Riyadh and this falls within the dream which still dominates the malicious hands of the Majous (Persians).

“But they will not be in a position to translate this dream into a reality under the existence of a strong, coherent and faithful people who have put their trust in Almighty Allah, his Kind Prophet (PBUH) and its leaders for the latter are always ordering the application of the Islamic Sharia and patronizing the Muslims and serving them during the performance of the Hajj (pilgrimage) and Umra rites and use of the potential of the Kingdom to surmount all obstructions.

“This is in addition to providing medical treatment and security for millions of pilgrims. As a matter of fact no country in the world can host this big number of people through such a humanitarian and civilized manner around the year which has drawn the attention of the entire world.

“In this context, we say that while the Saudi leaders from the Al Saud family topped by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his honest Heir Apparent Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz were busy taking care of the pilgrims and making sure that they enjoy safety and security.

“During their busy schedules in managing the affairs of the State and receiving guests to the Kingdom presidents of the States and their travel abroad to coordinate with the great powers to fight terrorism and promote Islamic tolerance message, we found the malicious hands still persistent in launching treachery and bullets of treason against the citizens of the country of divine religion (the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) where many of them have been martyred.

“In spite of the above, the Saudi message is one of patronizing the new Muslims and printing the Holy Quran and assisting Islamic developing and needy countries to help them get rid of poverty and ignorance through developmental projects.

“This message will be targeted only by those who hold grudge and those who harbor hatred against Islam and the message of the Master of Humanity Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him.”

“If we look at the history of wars in different historical periods and in different societies and races, we will certainly not find them victorious, and all declared victories were mere false propaganda to raise the morale sprit of the peoples,” columnist Hassan Al-Haddad wrote for Al-Anba daily.

“This was a machinery of media that was always used for covering human and material losses in order to keep people away from the bitter reality experienced by the countries that had committed themselves to losing wars.

“If we recollect a little about what happened in Syria, Libya, Iraq, Yemen and other Arab countries we find out they are suffering poverty and economic and social collapse.

“All those tragedies can remind governments and peoples of the risk of entering into wars and conflicts which are actually imposed on them and they are proxy wars aim at fulfilling the agendas of super power to divide countries and control their wealth, as well as to destroy Islam by the different sectors of Islam.

“Here I would like to remind you of the speech of His Highness the wise Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad, who pointed to the dangers of the inflamed regional arena that surrounds us, which requires us to take a patriot stand to preserve the security and safety of our homeland especially in light of the rapid repercussions.

“In light of the current crisis in the region, which may result in a bitter war, the parliament and media must adopt a wise attitude in order to prevent arousing the disputes. This is a national duty and everyone should follow measures that may be taken by His Highness to preserve the security and safety of the country.

“The MPs have a great responsibility to protect the country from any dangers and they should not exploit the inflamed situation for electoral interests at the expense of the security and safety of the nation.

“We also hope that HH the Prime Minister will choose members of a government with a degree of responsibility and their abilities that should be commensurate with the coming critical stage, away from quotas. Kuwait’s security and safety is more important than the exploitation of political currents.”

“His Highness the Amir’s message to members of the National Assembly should be treated with the utmost respect and sense of responsibility,” Dr Hassan Abdullah Jowhar wrote for Al-Jarida daily.

“Thorough analysis of the Amir speech revealed facts about certain events and the manner in which they escalated within the Gulf and region. The situation is no doubt escalating in a dangerous way even if it’s under control until now. However, the bloated file is bound to explode at any point in time — possibly without any prior warning.

“His Highness the Amir personally and directly played vital role by knocking the door of dialogue and calling on the GCC brothers for a brotherly, transparent and clear understanding. This indicates he has access to details concerning enormity of the problem, its ramifications, and possible outcome if it continues.

“For this reason, the direct call for maintaining harmony in the internal front and keeping away from whatever could create tension in the societal tie or push the national security toward a threat became necessary. It’s a basic condition for understanding the national unity, even if there is security and tranquility”.

“In the course of last week while visiting Jordan for a scientific conference, I met several Arab researchers. The news about the region quickly overshadowed the news of the conference itself,” Dr Mudhi Abdul-Aziz Al-Humoud wrote for Al-Qabas daily.

“Fellow participants from Lebanon were shocked to the bone marrow to hear the news about resignation of the Lebanese Prime Minister, while reports about the incident in our dear Saudi Arabia made the Saudis among us to follow up the issue. As people became undaunted with questions, one of the participants turned around and said calmly, ‘Dr, I wonder how your Amir manages to maintain contact with all segments and remain neutral during the time of serious polarization that is surrounding everybody and dividing Arabs into various contending groups?’

“In fact, it was all splendor and pride responding to her with a simple statement. “My dear, it is because he does not want his Arab brothers to pass through the same experience of losing the country, as he passed through with us.” Amidst this inflammable politics, the rate of panic increase directly or indirectly by what people circulate on social media”.

“In late 2016, the National Assembly was dissolved by an Amiri Decree based on Article 107 of the Constitution,” Aliyah Faisal Hamoud Al-Khalid wrote for Al-Qabas daily.

“The article states (In deep consideration of the regional situation coupled with associated developments, the security challenges and series of consequences that make it necessary to face issues squarely on the same level of danger, it became imperative for citizens to return to the basis by re-electing their representatives). On 30/10/2017, the government resigned due to reasons contained in a letter addressed to His Highness the Amir.

“The reasons were based on the content of HH the Amir’s inaugural speech at the second round of the fifteenth legislative term where he warned and advised against dangers and threats that may put a clog in the national wheel of development. He affirmed the need to work toward initiatives that would put legislative activities on the right track, because it is a national entitlement that can not be delayed any further.

“In my personal opinion, I believe many reasons entail maladministration that gives room for justifying the coalition of lawmakers for the purpose of attack and grilling. They acted on personal agenda of some lawmakers who are in the habit of using the constitutional tool to threaten and settle personal scores”.
