Disbursement

Research Sector at Kuwait University has considered suspending the disbursement of research petty cash to applicants from various faculties, starting from Dec 14, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily quoting a source added the sector took the decision based on a circular issued by Ministry of Finance directing the closure of accounts for the fiscal year, indicating the ministry ordered necessary personal custody funds should be reconciled while returning the remaining sum before the last working day of the current fiscal year 2017/2018.

He reiterated the sector’s intention to reconcile all petty cash paid to academic staff before the end of work on Jan 31 to prevent deducting the value of petty cash from February and March 2018 salaries, in case any academic staff fails to provide relevant documents.
