Kala (Art) Kuwait Niram 2017 painting competition held with splendor and pride
All roads led to Indian Community School, Khaitan, venue of Kala (Art) Kuwait “Niram 2017” Children’s Day Painting Competition on Friday, Nov 10, 2017. There was a festive air that prevailed over and the sunny and serene weather with cool breeze was also a great blessing to the event. A world filled with colours and lines were blooming.
“Niram 2017” the popularly known painting competition on the occasion of Children’s Day celebration by marking the 128th birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. Kala (Art) Kuwait is delighted to celebrate 13th anniversary of “Niram” Painting Competition with elegance and glory which is opened for all students of Indian schools in Kuwait.
There were more than a total of 2,430 entries out of which 2,224 children took part in the competitions. Clay
Photos from the event sculpture was also a competition item for the students and the parents were actively participating in the open canvas as well. Various gift items were distributed to all participants immediately upon completion of the competition.
Indian Community School Chairman Shaik Abdul Rehman inaugurated the event. Kala (Art) Kuwait President Samkutty Thomas, General Secretary Sunil Kumar, Program General Convener Jaison Joseph, Treasurer Johny Kalamachal, Indian Community School Vice-Chairman Vinu Nair, Principal Gangadhar Shirshad, Kala (Art) Kuwait Sambasivan Award winner Dr Vasanthakumar Sambasivan, BEC General Manager Mathew Varghese, prominent community leaders Krishnan Kadalundy, K.J. John, Azeez Thikkody, Shyjith, N.S. Jayan, Haneef C., Kala (Art) Kuwait officials C. Bhaskaran, Rakesh P.D., Hassan Koya, Siva Kumar, Aneecha Shyjith and Mukesh V.P. also attended the inaugural function.
Well-known artists Shammy John, Sunil Kulanada, Nikesh and Sasi Krishahan supervised the competition. More than 100 volunteers controlled the program lead by Kala (Art) Kuwait executive members Rathidas, Sameer P.P., Suresh, Aneesh, Rijo, Ashraf, Mustafa, Santhosh. O.M., Mohanan, Bharathan, Sajeesh, Sunil Chacko, Shibin Rajan, Vibin, Santhosh Joseph and Renuka Bhaskaran.
The result of the competition will be announced by the organizing committee as well as the judging committee on Dec 1, 2017 through leading newspapers and also websites.

Students and parents are familiar with ‘Niram’, and they can no longer be deceived, as this is the 13th consecutive year Kala (Art) Kuwait has successfully conducted this prestigious painting competition on the occasion of Children’s Day.
