Preparations well on the way for Kuwait Red Crescent Society & Kuwait English School’s Gala Charity Concert
Michael Ricketts is once again applying his superb stage and theatrical direction skills to ensure the success of this musical evening to be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel — Abdul Husain Marafi Ballroom.
Mike is assisted in many ways by talented staff members of Kuwait English School, the inspiring Mrs Dilyana Hristova, the superb Choir Master, Mike Hassan, Mrs Donna Clarke and the outstanding bandmaster, Stephen Tarry. Students from the Green Unit choir trained by Mrs Katarzyna Zadlo-Papadopoulou will again give their customary stunning performance. A galaxy of well known and talented local performers will contribute to the pleasure of the evening among them is Tarek Kabbani who will open the concert with a unique presentation. Dilyana Hristova, in addition to contributing her valuable management skills will, with her customary charm and Piano forte skills, present some musical numbers and has managed to magnetize other young musicians to join also.
Heiwei Li, one of Kuwait’s most gifted young musicians on both violin and piano, will entertain us by playing a well known Chopin nocturne. Not only will guests share the joy of listening to the music of Heiwei Li but to presentations of a host of other performers including Fabrice Mareau, Robin Hughes, Carol Souki, Felicia Brown, Anna Karadimitrova, Preslav Petkov, Darina Doncheva and Mohammad Al Foudari. The famous Hassan brothers, a quartet, cannot fail to delight everyone present with their superb singing and expertise on the guitar.
Judging by the diverse array of talents, the concert will provide something for everyone to enjoy as well as giving support to a worthy cause, the Kuwait Red Crescent Society. The Master of Ceremonies for the evening is Paul Turnbridge.
