AUM Mu­sic Club Holds Open­ing Re­hearsal

The Mu­sic Club at the Amer­i­can Univer­sity of the Mid­dle East (AUM) held its open­ing re­hearsal where stu­dents per­formed clas­si­cal and mo­dem pieces to an au­di­ence of stu­dents, fac­ulty and staff. The re­hearsal in­cluded per­for­mances by stu­dents Nawf Al•Ajami and Abed At-Rah­man Mu­rad play­ing the piano and Mo­hamed Haije play­ing the vi­olin and elec­tric gui­tar.

Turkar Zada as­si­tant pro­fes­sor in charge of the Mu­sic club at AUM, stressed that the univer­sity is com­mit­ted to of­fer­ing stu­dents all the means that help than de­velop their cul­tural in­ter­est and hav­ing a Cul­tural Cen­ter at the univer­sity is yet an­other form of this com­mit­ment

AUM's ed­u­ca­tional phi­los­o­phy en­cour­ages stu­dents to dis­cover their amends and pum­mel. a mis­sion to de­velop a com­pe­tent and skilled gen­er­a­tion knowl­edge­able in cul­ture and sci­ence. Mu­sic, in par­tic­u­lar, con­trib­utes to the de­vel­op­ment of the per­son­al­ity of stu­dents and in­crease their self-con­fi­dence and pos­i­tively af­fects their be­hav­ior Zad said.

Mu­sic Club stu­dents are pre­par­ing for many artis­tic events and mu­si­cal per­for­mances that will show­case their tal­ents in clas­si­cal, ori­en­tal, mod­ern and other mu­sic gen­res, he added.

The Mu­sic Club is one of many stu­dent clubs at AUM, and is com­n­tit­ted to ful­fill­ing the main goal of AUM's ed­u­ca­tional phi­los­o­phy and of­fer­ing stu­dents the op­por­tu­nity and tools to en­gage in life­long lean­ing.
