Cast of ‘Serb Hamam’ waiting for film’s ‘release’ in cinemas

‘Helwa Al-Agsan’ to be aired during Ramadan

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 16: Actor Dawood Hussein and the entire cast of his new film, ‘Serb Hamam’ (Flock of Pigeons), are waiting for the showing of their work in cinemas, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The film is considered a national epic as it is derived from real-life stories and events involving Kuwaiti resistance men during the Iraqi invasion in 1990.

Dar Al-Lulua for Artistic Production and founder of cinema team in Kuwait Sheikha Intisar Salem Al-Ali produced the film while the script was written by Fatma Al-Hamoud.

Popular Kuwaiti actress Hayat Al-Fahad has opted not to divulge details of her new series entitled, ‘Helwa AlAgsan,’ until the casting is completed, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The series, which will be aired in Ramadan, is written by Jassem AlJataily and directed by Manaf Abdal.

Artiste Ahmad Al-Ownan reaffirmed his commitment to spread happiness among the audience while announcing his participat­ion in two dramas, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Ownan told the daily that one of the dramas is entitled, ‘Al-Batran,’ in which he will play a comic character along with Egyptian actress Iman Al-Sayed.

He added the second drama is entitled, ‘Habibi Hayati’, and the cast includes Hassan Al-Balam, Intisar AlSharah and Zahra Arafat.

Kuwaiti plastic artist Mishael Faisal is scheduled to participat­e in a Plastic Art Exhibition by Al-Markhai Gallery at the Public Institute for Culture ‘Katara’ in Doha, Qatar, reports Al-Shahid daily.

The exhibition is in the framework of cooperatio­n between the two countries in cultural and artistic fields.

The daily noted 12 paintings shedding light on various issues will be displayed at the event.
