tions Ms Salam Al Shawa said: “We are delighted to have renewed our existing partnership with KidZania in Kuwait, as it has been a tremendous success over the past five years. Their edutainment city encourages a child’s development, as it brings together both education and entertainment with the aim of shaping children into the leaders of the future. Through Qatar Airways’ participation, it also introduces children to the many rewarding roles and fascinating jobs available in the aviation and travel industry.

“We have always sought to inspire our passengers to feel the joy of flying, by bringing people together from around the world. So as we celebrate our 20th year anniversary this year as an airline, taking great pride in our award-winning five-star customer service, we are equally delighted to help inspire the next generation of pilots and cabin crew. KidZania Kuwait allows us to continue sharing our knowledge of the aviation industry and our love of flying with youngsters.”

Vice-President of Leisure and Entertainment at M.H. Alshaya, Fernando Medroa, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that Qatar Airways has renewed its partnership with KidZania Kuwait for an additional three years, so we can help bring the fun into flying.

“Our partnership has been a great success over the last five years here in Kuwait, not only inspiring children and teaching them about the excitement of the aviation industry, but also in bringing families together as they in turn encourage children to reach for their dreams. Thanks to Qatar Airways, children have the chance to learn from the world’s best airline, so they can nurture and develop their ambitions and grow into our future leaders.”

Since the initial opening of KidZania Kuwait, in June 2012, the Skytrax ‘Airline of the Year’ has sponsored all of its aviation activities, including establishing its very own airport check-in counters and even a mock-up Boeing 777 aircraft, providing youngsters and visitors insight into the world of airlines.

As pilots, children can learn about an aircraft’s flight deck, control panels and take-off, as well as ‘land’ their plane using a Qatar Airways flight simulator. Youngsters can also play the roles of cabin crew and passengers, carrying out procedures and serving food and drinks on-board to other children.

Qatar Airways also partners with KidZania Singapore to provide children in the Far East with the same fun and educative experience.

One of the world’s fastest-growing airlines, Qatar Airways has recently added an array of new destinations to its global route network, including Dublin, Republic of Ireland; Nice, France; Prague, Czech Republic and Kyiv, Ukraine, soon to be followed by Chiang Mai, Thailand; St. Petersburg, Russia and Canberra, Australia. The airline operates a modern fleet of more than 200 aircraft to a network of key business and leisure destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, North America and South America.
