The Denver Broncos are expected to start Paxton Lynch at quarterback in Sunday’s road game against the Oakland Raiders.

Denver has been plagued by quarterback play during its six-game losing streak. The Broncos fired offensive coordinator Mike McCoy on Monday and promoted Bill Musgrave to the same position.

The San Francisco 49ers waived defensive end Datone Jones.

Jones recorded six tackles in three games with the 49ers since signing a one-year deal on Oct 24.
