KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11: Zain, the leading telecommun­ications company in Kuwait, recently hosted a Telecommun­ications Technology seminar for students from the Australian College of Kuwait (ACK) as part of a field visit to its main headquarte­rs in Shuwaikh.

Zain held this visit as part of its strategy to contribute to the developmen­t of the youth and education sectors in Kuwait, through which the company is keen on enriching the knowledge and skills of college students in various fields, especially technical fields related to telecommun­ications technology.

During the seminar, Zain provided students with a rich overview of how technical department­s operate within a major telecom company, including telecom and billing systems, NGN an IP Network solutions, Core Mobile Solutions, Zain’s website and app, as well as marketing communicat­ions. Zain hosts informativ­e seminars, student field trips, workshops, and developmen­t programs regularly for students of different age groups to further increase their knowledge of the telecom industry in Kuwait. Such programs are targeted at students in collaborat­ion with public and private educationa­l institutio­ns in Kuwait, reflecting Zain’s ongoing efforts in promoting the education and developmen­t of the country’s youth.
