Indians in GCC is a recently formed association with its reach among all GCC countries with the cause of national integration through selfless services to fellow citizens. The Kuwait Chapter of IGCC is registered under Indian Embassy and has been actively involved in philanthropic activities since the time of its inception. Childrens Day on Nov 14 too was celebrated by organizing a free health camp for children below 14 years of age by the IGCC. Indians across the whole country have been joining together in large number to this association, irrespective of their cast, creed, region or religion, making it a pan India association, a rare community representation.
As the affordable health services and friendly health consultations are always valued among expatriates, many remain deprived of the basic health services. As a result, apart from lack of awareness, the timely diagnosis is also essential in today’s lifestyle. IGCC felt the commitment towards such requirement and decided to take the initiative of organizing a free health camp. Healthy population is the main asset of any nation as it’s the main resource of present and determination of its future. Hence, IGCC felt that organizing such health camp was the best thing they could do in service of their nation.
The IGCC project leaders Abdul Malik and Salman have taken lead in implementing the ethos of association in the Kuwait Chapter which is presided over by Ammanulla Poppere. The vice-presidents Harminder Sabharwal and K. Gangadahr joined hands together with general secretary Hanif and Treasurer Abdul bari. The camps were spearheaded as a convenor by the core member Sandip Chhabba and supported by other members. IGCC shares the success of this altruistic service camp with the entire team of Badr-Al-Sama Medical Centre Farwaniya under the leadership of GM Ashraf Ayyor, Admin Manager Abdul Razzak and Marketing Head Nitin, eminent team of doctors, nurses and other support staff. The support of corporates and individuals like Landmark Group, BMA Group, Jashanmal & Ajmal Perfumes was also commendable for their voluntary participation and goodwill gestures during the camp.
