ACK organises entrepreneurship tour
Students learn about innovation in UAE
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 13: The International Cooperation office at the Australian College in Kuwait (ACK) organized the 2018 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Tour in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with the participation of a number of students from the School of Business and the School of Engineering at ACK.
The objective of the tour was to provide students with the opportunity to learn more about the varied innovation and entrepreneurship activities and initiatives in the UAE, also, to link their theoretical knowledge with applied initiatives, and to motivate students to explore and develop their vision in the field of entrepreneurship. The tour, sponsored by the College, was designed to serve as an experience across various systems and segments in business and engineering. During the tour, students were given the opportunity to learn more about entrepreneurship initiatives in the UAE, many of which supported entrepreneurs and business leaders in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The four-day tour program included visits to innovation and entrepreneurship centers, small and medium enterprises, and meetings with local and foreign entrepreneurs working in Dubai.
Following the busy tour program in Dubai, students travelled to Abu Dhabi to attend the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (the largest gathering of sustainability in the Middle East) .This provided the opportunity to visit the exhibition and listen to presentations from global investors in the field of climate innovation exchange. After the exhibition the group visited “Masdar City”, where they experienced innovations making Masdar one of the world’s most sustainable eco cities.
