Ministry sets dates for final examinations

KUWAIT CITY, March 14: Ministry of Education has set the dates from Sunday, May 6 to Thursday, May 17 for the final examinations for all grades except grade 12, reports AlQabas daily.

Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Hamid Al-Azmi revealed that the final examinations of grade 12 will

start on the previously declared date, Sunday, May 20 and will end on Thursday, May 31.

Meanwhile, he explained that termination of the contracts of expatriate teachers is part of the Kuwaitization policy adopted by the ministry. The ministry will not sign contracts with expatriate teachers for subjects for which there are sufficient

number of Kuwaiti teachers.

However, the ministry will not stop recruiting expatriate teachers for subjects for which there are shortage of Kuwaiti teachers. It will continue to recruit locally and from overseas for these subjects until sufficient number of Kuwaiti teachers is available for those subjects.
