Min­istry sets dates for fi­nal ex­am­i­na­tions

KUWAIT CITY, March 14: Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion has set the dates from Sun­day, May 6 to Thurs­day, May 17 for the fi­nal ex­am­i­na­tions for all grades ex­cept grade 12, re­ports AlQabas daily.

Min­is­ter of Ed­u­ca­tion and Higher Ed­u­ca­tion Dr. Hamid Al-Azmi re­vealed that the fi­nal ex­am­i­na­tions of grade 12 will

start on the pre­vi­ously de­clared date, Sun­day, May 20 and will end on Thurs­day, May 31.

Mean­while, he ex­plained that ter­mi­na­tion of the con­tracts of ex­pa­tri­ate teach­ers is part of the Kuwait­i­za­tion pol­icy adopted by the min­istry. The min­istry will not sign con­tracts with ex­pa­tri­ate teach­ers for sub­jects for which there are suf­fi­cient

num­ber of Kuwaiti teach­ers.

How­ever, the min­istry will not stop re­cruit­ing ex­pa­tri­ate teach­ers for sub­jects for which there are short­age of Kuwaiti teach­ers. It will con­tinue to re­cruit lo­cally and from over­seas for these sub­jects un­til suf­fi­cient num­ber of Kuwaiti teach­ers is avail­able for those sub­jects.
