‘Maid steals KD 2,700 worth jewelry, cash’

KUWAIT CITY, April 3: A Kuwaiti woman sustained injuries on her hands and head during a quarrel with another Kuwaiti woman inside the parking area of a commercial complex in Salmiya area.

According to security sources, she lodged a complaint at Salmiya Police Station against the other woman, accusing her of insulting and beating her with her handbag. She also submitted a medical report to indicate the injuries she sustained.

Using the details provided by the woman, securityme­n tracked the other woman and summoned her to the police station. She was referred for investigat­ions.

Jewelry, cash stolen:

Police are looking for a Sri Lankan domestic helper for allegedly stealing jewelry worth KD 2,700 and KD 900 cash from her female Kuwaiti employer, reports Al-Rai daily.

The employer, who lives in Mubarak Al-Kabir, told police when she returned home she found her jewelry, money and the helper missing.

Reckless driver arrested:

A Kuwaiti juvenile was arrested for driving recklessly near the roundabout of Sabah Al-Nasser Cooperativ­e Society.

According to security sources, Farwaniya Security Director Major General Saleh Al-Enezi summoned the suspect to the police station after receiving informatio­n about his violation of traffic laws but the latter ignored the orders. Farwaniya securityme­n then tracked him down and arrested him.

During interrogat­ions, he confessed that he had violated the traffic law.
