HMWA conducts biannual elections

‘Work for a cause not for applause’

KUWAIT CITY, April 3: Hyderabad Muslim Welfare Associatio­n (HMWA) an old organisati­on formed in 1986. Recently conducted biannual elections to select the positions of president, vice-president, gen secretary, joint secy, treasurer and joint treasurer and executive committee with patrons for the term 20182019.

Election commission­er Dr Nayeem dissolved the existing committee and conducted election for new committee. After recitation of Holy Quran HMWA president gave inaugural speech highlighti­ng aims and objectives of HMWA then founding member and patron FIMA president and famous businessma­n Muzzammil Malik delivered short speeches regarding need of welfare activities in Kuwait and abroad and hailed activities of HMWA. Mubeen Ahmed conducted the program.

Elected body comprises of three layers namely working committee, executive committee and patrons. These elected members will work in close co-ordination with each other with cordial relationsh­ip strive to deliver effective and dedicated social activities to uplift underprivi­leged and poor sections of the community. New team comprises of many talented profession­als and highly educated individual­s who keenly want to deliver best to the needy society with the aim of work for a cause not for applause. Following are the members of new team: President — Mohammed Abdul Azeem Mohammed; Vice-President — Tariq Iqbal; Gen Secretary — Mubeen Ahmed; Treasurer — Mushtaq Ahmed; Joint Secy; — Mujeeb ur Rahman; Joint Treasurer — Mohammed Mushtaq Ahmed.
